If you have excellent sales skills and are looking for a varied position, then the position of Account Representative - Inside Sales might be something for you!

In the role of Account Representative - Inside Sales you will work with our Calgary and/or Edmonton team on incoming customer requests and reservations. In addition, you will look to expand your portfolio by proactively approaching inactive customers and companies with which TIP does not yet do business. You will be responsible for incoming/outgoing sales calls (some virtually), preparing and presenting associated quotes, helping to build our customer base, as well as data input.

You are part of the commercial team in the West and you work closely with the other Account Managers in Region. Together you work every day to exceed customer expectations and grow the business. You increase the brand awareness of TIP and the extensive package of products and services that we can offer our clients.


  • Prospecting for new accounts via telemarketing calls, cold calling and e-mails to expand account base
  • Profiling and updating customer information in Salesforce to manage account base
  • Handling all incoming phone sales inquiries 
  • Developing and maintaining high-volume accounts to ensure that all customers have needs met in a thoughtful and timely manner
  • Working with the branch team to manage and develop accounts to grow revenue
  • To encourage revenue from all possible sources and geographies (from current and new customer) including parts sales and service
  • Achieving quarter targets, goals and objectives


  • Excellent Communication skills in English
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in an office environment in a sales capacity
  • Experience in sales within the transportation industry is an asset
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills including virtual meeting skills.
  • Ability to work directly with customers and positively promote the TIP brand
  • Strong organizational and computer skills - with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Goal oriented and results driven
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and achieve outcomes in a fast-paced environment
  • Work effectively in, and contribute to, a team environment
